Weekend Critical Care Locum Physician Needed – $300/hr | ICU Coverage in Lima, OH

Calling all Critical Care Physicians ready to make a high-impact difference—while earning $300/hour—in Lima, Ohio! We’re seeking PRN or Full-Time Intensivists for weekend ICU coverage starting as soon as credentialed. This is a fast-paced, well-supported ICU environment with strong APC and resident coverage, modern systems, and comprehensive malpractice plus complimentary travel and lodging.

You’ll step into an 18-bed closed ICU within a Level II Trauma Center, managing a diverse mix of cardiac, neuro, trauma, medical, and surgical critical care cases. With Epic EMR, excellent team support, and predictable weekend scheduling, this is an ideal opportunity for physicians who thrive in high-acuity care without weekday burnout.

• Pay Rate: $300/hour

⏰ Schedule Structure (Must Have Weekend Availability):

• Friday evening/night call

• Saturday day rounding

• Saturday evening/night call

• Sunday day rounding

🏥 Practice Environment:

• ICU: 18-bed closed ICU (425-bed hospital total)

• Patients: 18–24 ICU patients/day with APC + IM/FM/EM residents

• Admissions: 3–4/day

• Night Support: APCs and residents on-site

• Trauma Level: Level II

• Team: 5 Critical Care Physicians

• EMR: Epic

🔧 Required Skills & Procedures:

• Ventilation management (Invasive & Non-Invasive)

• Central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters

• Paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture

• Supervision and teaching of IM, FM, and EM residents

✅ Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (Pulm/CC preferred; all CC-trained considered)

• Active Ohio license

• BLS & ACLS

• Flu vaccination

• COVID vaccination (highly preferred)

• Must provide specific availability
