🩺 Position Overview
Profession: Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Specialty: Critical Care / Neuro-Trauma
Shift: 10-hour day shifts (7a–5p), no call

Setting: Level II Trauma Center
EMR: Cerner Care B
Reason for Need: Coverage gaps
🧠 Role Responsibilities
You’ll manage Neuro-Trauma ICU and emergency neurosurgical patients involving:

Brain, neck, and spine surgeries

Low/moderate-risk procedures (e.g., laceration repair, IV access, minor reductions)
-
High-risk procedures including:
-
G-tube placement
-
Intubation
-
Cardioversion/defibrillation
-
LMA
-
Paracentesis
-
Chest tubes
-
Central & arterial lines
-
Average patient load: 15–20 ICU patients/day
🎓 Required Qualifications
✔ Current ANCC/AANP NP board certification
✔ Active state license
✔ ACLS, DEA required
✔ ATLS preferred (but not required; strong neuro-trauma experience accepted)
✔ Clean malpractice history
✔ Availability at time of name clear
