Healthcare United is currently seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Intensivist to join our robust critical care and hospital medicine team in Southwest Georgia. This full-time position offers an excellent work-life balance, competitive compensation, and the chance to work alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes NPs, a pulmonologist/critical care physician, and two anesthesiology/critical care physicians.

Position Highlights

As an Intensivist, you will:

  • Schedule: Work 15 twelve-hour shifts per month (maximum 180 hours), with extra shifts and night shift opportunities available for additional pay.

  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience, plus a quarterly quality bonus scaled to performance metrics.

  • Education Opportunities: Precept medical students and residents as part of a robust academic environment.

Hospital Facilities:

  • 10-bed open ICU

  • 24/7 access to physicians’ lounge with meals provided

  • All-access employee fitness center

  • State-of-the-art Medical Education Center with simulation rooms and conference space


Requirements

  • Completion or upcoming completion of Internal Medicine residency and Critical Care fellowship

  • Board Certified or Board Certification Eligible (must achieve certification within 4 years)

  • Active Georgia Medical License or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact

  • Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care in a critical care setting
