Practice Opportunity
Hospital is seeking full-time physicians Board Eligible or Board-Certified in critical medicine. The critical care practice consists of a multidisciplinary team of intensivists who provide 12-hour shifts in a 14-bed mixed ICU in collaboration with hospitalists who cover overnight. The patient population is a mix of medical, cardiovascular, surgical, and neurosurgical patients. Intensivists need to be comfortable performing the general gamut of bread-and-butter critical care procedures including placement of CVCs and arterial lines, dialysis catheters, pulmonary artery catheters, temporary transvenous pacemakers, airway management, chest tubes, thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, and bronchoscopy. Skill with echocardiography/point-of-care ultrasound is appreciated but not required. Percutaneous tracheostomy and gastrostomy tube placements may be performed electively by intensivists.
