DirectShifts is seeking a Chief of Cardiology Physician to work in Allentown, PA. This is a Full Time position. My client is very motivated to speak with all interested candidate.
Clinical
• To be successful and maintain credibility within the Division, the Chief of Cardiology must be actively involved in the clinical practice of cardiology with 60 percent of their time spent in clinical practice.
Administration
• In the Heart Institute, the successful individual will have responsibility for overseeing cardiac program at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest. This will include supporting the full-time clinical faculty and independent practices that are aligned with the cardiology programs.
• The Chief will identify manpower needs of the Division and assure that there are a sufficient number of both general and subspecialty cardiologists.
• Developing an atmosphere of collaboration among the physicians and physician groups will be a critical responsibility. Developing close working relationships with cardiac surgeons and other physicians, who are part of, or refer to, the HI will be key responsibilities.
• The Chief of the Division will be involved in the evaluation of staffing, capital requests and supply costs of the Division.
