Busy Cardiology practice looking for a General Cardiologist to join our team full time in Lanham, MD.

Responsibilities:

Render medical care and treatment to patients at the offices in Lanham, Maryland; Largo, Maryland; and Camp Springs, Maryland. Render medical care and treatment to patients admitted to the inpatient consultation service and outpatient Cardiology clinic at Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham, Maryland. Apply expertise in cardiovascular diseases to provide direct patient care. Order and complete cardiovascular tests. Review and interpret patient medical histories, physical examination results, and test results. For each patient, generate a comprehensive diagnosis and develop a treatment plan. In doing so, consider the patient’s individual health and age-related needs. Discuss prescribed medications and treatments with the patient and their family. Monitor the patient’s condition and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary. When appropriate, refer the patient for more specialized or different treatment. Prepare timely and accurate medical records and submit documentation of procedures for billing purposes. Responsible for achieving quality of care standards, efficiency, process improvement, and patient satisfaction. Practice in accordance with professional standards and core values while demonstrating a commitment to service excellence. Perform other related duties as assigned. Various shifts may be required, depending on staff availability.

Compensation: 300-350K (Negotiable)

Requirements:

Medical degree or foreign equivalent;

Completion of a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease, which must include COCATS Level III preparation in Echocardiography;

Possession of, or eligibility for, a Maryland medical license; and

Possession of, or eligibility for, board certification in Cardiovascular Disease.
