Cardiology physician needed for a gap in coverage

Expected assignment duration: 6 months

Adult and geriatric patient population

Approximately 14-16 patients per day

No call, rounding, or admissions required
Schedule & Coverage

4-5 days per month

Monday-Friday

8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Physician will work independently as the only cardiologist on the island

Support available from Family Medicine, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Emergency Department, and Hospitalist services

No required procedures

Applicant must provide documentation of cardiovascular disease services representative of the scope and complexity of the requested privileges during the previous 24 months

Case log requirement may be waived for physicians who completed training within the previous year

EMR: EPIC
Requirements
-
MD or DO
-
BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
-
EPIC proficiency
-
Alaska medical license and/or IMLC strongly preferred
-
Candidates willing to obtain an Alaska medical license will be considered
