Locums | General Cardiology | Omaha, NE (NE or IMLC required; IA licensure in process) Why This Role

  • NE or IMLC
  • Low-volume overnight call
  • APP-supported weekday rounding
  • General cardiology + noninvasive procedures
  • Ongoing coverage anticipated
Assignment Details Start/end: December 2026-February 2027; additional ongoing dates pending approval Schedule: On-site coverage 8am-4:30pm; assigned night call 4:30pm-8am Coverage type: Scheduled clinical hours + call across multiple metro hospitals Volume: Average census ~5-8 patients per campus; low-volume overnight call Setting: Hub-and-spoke hospital model with possible ambulatory visits Support: APP support for weekday inpatient rounds; no APP support on weekends or during call; fellows provide first call at the academic hub EMR: Epic Credentialing: ~90 days after completed application Clinical Details Required scope: General Cardiology Required scope: Echocardiography, TEE, EKG and stress testing Inpatient rounding across assigned locations with weekday APP support Night call covers all 4 sites when assigned Overnight calls primarily involve consults for next-day evaluation; in-person callback is rare Academic hub has in-house fellows providing first-call coverage Requirements Board certified in Cardiology License: Active NE or IMLC with LOQ in hand required IA license or IMLC highly preferred; IA license must be in process at name clear ACLS and BLS highly preferred Active DEA highly preferred Compensation Rate caps apply per facility Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
