### Locums | General Cardiology | Omaha, NE & Council Bluffs, IA (IMLC Accepted) ### Why This Role

  • Multi-site general cardiology coverage
  • Weekday onsite schedule with low-volume night call

Assignment Details Locations: Omaha, Nebraska, and Council Bluffs, Iowa Coverage Dates: December 1, 2026–February 28, 2027 Duration: Specific initial coverage period; additional ongoing dates are pending approval Day Schedule: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM onsite Night Call: 4:30 PM–8:00 AM on select nights Setting: Inpatient with possible ambulatory visits Coverage Model: Hub-and-spoke coverage across four hospital campuses EMR: Epic Credentialing: Approximately 90 days after receipt of a completed application Weekend Coverage: Possible ### Requirements Board certified in Cardiology Active Nebraska license or IMLC Letter of Qualification in hand Iowa license or IMLC Letter of Qualification highly preferred Iowa license must be in process at name clear Specific availability between December 1, 2026, and February 28, 2027 Number of shifts available per month for ongoing coverage Acknowledgment that assigned night call covers all four sites Active ACLS, BLS, and DEA highly preferred Clean malpractice and professional background highly preferred ### Clinical Details General cardiology consultations and inpatient rounding Required competencies: - Echocardiography - Transesophageal echocardiography - EKG interpretation - Stress testing Average census of approximately 5–8 patients at each campus APP support during weekday inpatient rounds No APP support during night call Night call is generally low volume Most overnight calls involve consults evaluated the following day Onsite nighttime callbacks are uncommon Academic-campus fellows handle first call at the primary hub location
