Position Overview

Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care within an established health system on Long Island, New York.

The physician will work as part of a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team providing evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of adult patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage adult cardiology patients

• Provide comprehensive cardiovascular consultations

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions

• Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans

• Interpret appropriate cardiac diagnostic testing within scope of practice

• Collaborate with cardiology subspecialists and multidisciplinary clinical teams

• Coordinate care with primary care physicians and other specialists

• Provide evidence-based cardiovascular care

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Participate in inpatient and/or outpatient cardiology coverage based on departmental needs

Candidate Requirements

• MD or DO

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease / Cardiology

• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency

• Completion of a Cardiology fellowship

• Active or eligible New York medical license

• Current DEA

• ACLS/BLS as required

• Strong clinical and communication skills

Preferred Experience

• General / Non-Invasive Cardiology experience

• Inpatient cardiology consultation experience

• Outpatient cardiology experience

• Experience interpreting common cardiovascular diagnostic studies

• Comfortable managing a broad range of adult cardiovascular conditions
