Locum - Cardiology - MD/DO

Job Opportunity: Locum Cardiology Physician in Omaha, NE

Summary:
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Locum Cardiology Physician to provide support across four exceptional locations within Omaha, Nebraska. This role will involve ongoing coverage starting December 2026, with opportunities at Creighton University Medical Center, Lakeside, Mercy Council Bluffs, and Immanuel. Job Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite general cardiology coverage from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Participate in night call coverage from 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM (not every night).
• Conduct required procedures including General Cardiology, ECHO, TEE, EKG, and Stress Tests.
• Work collaboratively with advanced practice providers (APPs) during inpatient rounds (weekdays only).
• Manage consults and follow-ups primarily through a hub-and-spoke model among the four hospital sites.
• Utilize the EPIC EMR system for patient documentation and care.
• Respond to clinical inquiries from other medical staff, primarily from the ER or transfer center.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Cardiology (Required).
• Active Nebraska or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) license (Required).
• Active Iowa license or IMLC (Highly Preferred).
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and DEA (Highly Preferred).
• Availability for coverage between December 1, 2026, and February 28, 2027 (Required).
• Understanding of night call responsibilities across all four sites (Required).
• Clear malpractice background (Highly Preferred).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Nebraska medical license (Required).
• Active Iowa medical license (Highly Preferred).
• Current board certification in Cardiology (Required).
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications (Highly Preferred).
