Locum Non-Invasive Cardiologist – Louisiana
Overview
A healthcare system in Louisiana is seeking a Board Certified, fellowship-trained Non-Invasive Cardiologist for a long-term locum opportunity. This position offers a blend of outpatient clinic, inpatient consultative care, and rotating call responsibilities while working with a collaborative cardiovascular team.
Assignment Details
- Specialty: Non-Invasive Cardiology
- Location: Louisiana
- Assignment Length: Long-term
- Schedule: Full-time, minimum three weeks per month
- Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Coverage: Scheduled clinical hours plus rotating call
- Call: Beeper call with a 30-minute response time
Practice Setting
- Outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital coverage
- Epic EMR
- Collaborative multidisciplinary cardiovascular team
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care
- Manage an established panel of patients
- Perform inpatient consultations and daily rounding during hospital service
- Interpret non-invasive cardiac diagnostic studies
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds
- Communicate with referring providers regarding patient care
- Coordinate follow-up care and treatment plans
- Supervise advanced practice providers in accordance with state regulations
- Document patient care using Epic EMR
Requirements
- Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
- Fellowship-trained in Cardiology
- Active state medical license or eligibility for licensure
- Ability to obtain hospital privileges
- Experience providing outpatient and inpatient non-invasive cardiology services
- Eligible to serve as a supervising physician for advanced practice providers
