INTERNAL MEDICINE – CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE

POSITION SUMMARY
The Department seeks a cardiovascular disease specialist to join a hospital-employed practice supporting a regional referral center. The role focuses on general cardiology within a growing service area and contributes to a coordinated model of inpatient and outpatient cardiac care. The position offers a competitive compensation structure and supports expansion of cardiovascular services in the region.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine and/or Cardiovascular Disease.
• Residency training in internal medicine.
• Training or experience in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Kentucky.
• Interest in general cardiology within a hospital-based practice.
COMPETENCIES
• Ability to evaluate and manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions.
• Skill in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clinical support staff.
• Commitment to patient-centered cardiac care.
• Effective communication within a regional referral network.
• Capacity to support a busy clinical practice with equitable call responsibilities.
WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment: Hospital; Inpatient; Outpatient; Clinic/Private Practice
• General cardiology practice within a regional referral center.
• Collaboration with physicians, advanced practice professionals, and clinical staff.
• Use of industry-standard EMR and modern diagnostic resources.
• Participation in call rotation with manageable workload expectations.
