Cardiac Hospitalist opening in Albany, NY Full-time, Permanent We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Hospitalist to join our growing team. Provide dedicated inpatient cardiac care in Troy, NY, and Albany, NY, within a collaborative, patient focused environment.

  • Full time inpatient Cardiac Hospitalist position within a high volume, cardiology-focused service
  • Work exclusively in cardiac hospital medicine—no outpatient responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient management of acute cardiac conditions, including heart failure, arrhythmias, acute coronary syndromes (ACS), and post procedural cardiac care
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and care coordinators
  • Flexible schedule with a competitive call structure designed to support work–life balance
  • Competitive compensation package, including productivity-based wRVU incentives for cardiologists in this role
Responsibilities Provide comprehensive inpatient care for cardiology patients Perform admissions, daily rounding, and discharge planning Coordinate care with interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and cardiac surgery teams Interpret cardiac diagnostics including EKGs, telemetry, and echocardiograms Participate in quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary case reviews Recruitment Package Base Salary is $600,000 per year Year 2: cardiologist has opportunity to join Pool Model where RVU and Quality Incentive Models are shared among pool members. Entry into Pool model requires annual RVU threshold. 75k Starting Bonus 25k Retention Bonus 25k Relocation (if reside outside the capital region) Fellowship compensation available - up to 100k per year for early sign on (paid out as a monthly stipend) Excellent benefits; including health/vision/dental insurances start your first day Paid malpractice, including post-SPHP employment tail coverage CME time & expense allowance- $4,500 per year 32 days of vacation and CMA annually 403b Retirement savings program with employer matching program Loan Repayment: our institution qualifies as an eligible employer for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program Qualifications Board Certified or Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease Experience or strong interest in cardiology-focused hospital medicine Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State Excellent communication and teamwork skills
