Job description
We are seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist for a locum tenens assignment in Chambersburg, PA. The role involves clinic coverage, inpatient consults, and diagnostic cardiac testing interpretation, along with limited call responsibilities. The physician will work within a collaborative hospital-based cardiology team using EPIC EMR.
This is a long-term ongoing assignment (minimum 6 months preferred) with a mix of outpatient and inpatient responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
📊 Interpret and manage cardiac diagnostic studies including EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests (including nuclear), and Holter monitors
🫀 Perform and interpret TEEs and cardioversions as needed
🧾 Conduct cardiac consultations and assist in patient management plans
📈 Participate in daily patient care with a moderate clinical volume
📞 Provide occasional weeknight and weekend call coverage as scheduled
🤝 Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and hospital care teams for coordinated patient management
💻 Document clinical findings and patient care using EPIC EMR
🎯 Ensure timely evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular conditions
🔄 Support continuity of care through inpatient rounding and follow-up planning
Qualifications
🪪 Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC LOQ (Required)
💉 ACLS and BLS certification (Required)
🖥️ EPIC EMR experience (Required)
📊 Experience in non-invasive cardiology (echo, EKG, stress testing, Holter interpretation)
⏳ Minimum clinical experience in cardiology practice (preferred requirement depending on facility need)
Working Hours
🕗 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (standard clinical hours with lunch break)
📆 1–2 weeks/month coverage requirement
📞 Occasional weeknight call and weekend support
