Job Overview

📍 Job Location:
Chambersburg, PA
🗓 Schedule & Coverage
- Shift Duration: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8 hours)
- Shift Type: Day Shift (Scheduled + No Call)
- Coverage: 1-2 weeks per month with weekend support as needed (Weekends & occasional weeknight call)
- Block Scheduling: No
- Orientation: All hours billable
- Average Daily Census: 25-35 patients
📋 Job Responsibilities
As a Non-Invasive Cardiologist, your role will include:
- Cardiac Procedures:
- Perform and interpret stress testing, TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography), cardioversions, and holter monitoring
- Analyze echocardiograms, EKGs, stress tests, nuclear tests
- Patient Care:
- Provide consultations and diagnostic assessments for patients (age 18+)
- Collaborate with a supportive team of 1 MD and 1 APP for Non-Invasive Cardiology
- Work alongside Interventional and EP services available (1 MD & 1 APP at all times)
- EMR System: EPIC
👨⚕️ Requirements & Qualifications
- Board Certification: Preferred
- State License: Must be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania
- Certifications Required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Certifications Preferred:
- CTA Reading Certification
- Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in Cardiology (preferred)
- Trauma Level I & II experience (Preferred, but not required)
- DEA Certification: Required
- Charting Experience: Familiarity with EPIC EMR
💼 Work Environment & Support
- Support Staff: 1 MD and 1 APP for Non-Invasive Cardiology (additional to the team)
- Hospital Size: 265 beds
- Special Procedures: Stress testing, TEE’s, Cardioversions, EKG, Holters, Stress Tests (including Nuclear Medicine)
📝 Credentialing & Licensing
- Credentialing Timeframe: Minimum of 90 days (with a clean file, temporary licensing available)
- State Licenses: No, but PA License is required
