Description
A Pennsylvania healthcare system is seeking a General Cardiologist for a locum assignment covering clinic, procedures, and call responsibilities. The provider will work alongside APP support in a mixed inpatient and outpatient cardiology setting.
This opportunity includes scheduled clinic weeks, procedural coverage, and limited call responsibilities with minimal callback volume.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide general cardiology clinic coverage
- Interpret nuclear studies and stress tests
- Perform TEE and cardioversions
- Review echocardiograms and monitors
- Provide inpatient rounding during call
- Collaborate with APP and cardiology team
- Participate in procedural lab coverage
- Document encounters using Epic EMR
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
- Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC accepted
- DEA required
- General cardiology experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Working Hours
Day Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Scheduled Coverage:
- May 11–15
- May 18–22
- May 22 (4pm) – May 26 (5pm) call
- June 8–12
- June 15–19
- June 19 (4pm) – June 22 (7am) call
- July 20 – July 30 coverage
Coverage Needed:
Approximately 1 week + 1 weekend per month
Average Callback:
Minimal — rounding only, no routine night callbacks
