### Cardiologist opening | Walla Walla, WA Eastern Washington — Long-Term Permanent Search ## Position Details * FT, permanent * Setting: Inpatient and outpatient * Call: Scheduled clinical hours plus call — beeper call, 1 in 4 * Call Response Time: 20 minutes * Call Back Rate: 5% * Phone consults: Yes * Admissions: TBD * EMR: Epic * Hospital privileges required — temporary privileges not available * Credentialing timeframe: 90 days * Facility Trauma Level: III * Stroke Certified facility * Malpractice insurance provided by vendor ## Practice Overview Seeking a BC Cardiologist to fill an ongoing vacancy at an inpatient and outpatient cardiology practice in eastern Washington: * 12–14 patients per shift * Support staff includes 3 RNs, 1 MA, 5 PA/NPs, and 3 office staff * No resident or teaching supervision required * No supervision of advanced practice providers required * Fellowship required ## Required Clinical Skills * Outpatient and inpatient cardiology — required * ICU experience — preferred * Echocardiography — required * Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) — required * Nuclear cardiology (Cardiolyte, thallium, etc.) — required * Invasive cardiology — diagnostic only — required * Cardiac catheterization — required * Permanent pacemaker placement — preferred * Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (AICD/ICD) — preferred ## Required Qualifications * MD or DO — Board Certified in Cardiology * Fellowship required * Washington license or willingness to obtain — licensing reimbursement not available * 20-minute call response time required ## Allowed Holidays Off New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day ## About the Community – Walla Walla, Washington * Charming small city in the heart of Washington's wine country * World-renowned for its award-winning wineries and culinary scene * Vibrant arts and cultural community with a strong historic downtown * Excellent schools and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere * Abundant outdoor recreation including hiking, cycling, and exploring the Blue Mountains * Regional airport with connecting flights to major West Coast cities * Affordable cost of living with a high quality of life
