  • Case Mix: Bread & Butter Cardiology including inpatient consults and evaluation & management services

  • Office Equipment Available: Pager provided by the HeartCare department
  • Specialty Backup Available: Electrophysiology service available for temporary pacemaker coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Credentialing Timeline: 60 90 days

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Licenses: Active NC medical license
  • Board: Board Certified in Cardiology
  • DEA: Active DEA Certification
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS
  • Experience: Minimum 12 years cardiology experience
  • Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide inpatient cardiology coverage during scheduled night shifts
  • Evaluate and manage adult cardiology patients in the hospital setting
  • Provide consultative cardiology services for admitted patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Epic EMR system
