- Other details: The facility which is stroke-certified and trauma level 3 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours only. There are an average of 15-20 patients per shift and 22 beds in the department. A general cardiologist is needed for full-time clinic coverage Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM; specific start dates depend on credentialing. The provider will see approximately 15 to 20 patients per day, with flexibility on the maximum, and will care for adult patients aged 18 and older. Charting is completed in Athena, with hospital documentation in Cliniview and MedHost, and charge capture via Ingenious Med. The team includes five CMAs, two NPs, two patient care coordinators, and five front desk staff. Hospital rounding is required on assigned weeks, covering both ICU and general beds, with reading of walk-in EKGs and hospital ECHOs. Clinical privileges require completion of an ACGME or AOA-accredited fellowship in cardiovascular disease and current certification or active participation in the examination process for subspecialty certification in cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, with specific requested privileges contingent upon proof of competency and certain volume requirements.

Job Responsibilities
* Conduct hospital rounding on assigned weeks, including ICU and general beds.
* Read and interpret walk-in EKGs and hospital ECHOs.
* Collaborate with support staff, including CMAs, NPs, patient care coordinators, and front desk staff.
* Document patient care accurately in Athena (clinic) and Cliniview/MedHost (hospital).
* Perform charge capture using Ingenious Med.
Qualifications
* Current certification or active participation in the examination process for subspecialty certification in cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.
* Proof of competency and meeting volume requirements for specific clinical privileges.
Working Hours
* Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
* Hospital rounding as assigned.
Skills
