Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist Opening – Des Moines, Iowa
Location: Des Moines, IA
Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Setting: Clinic-Based with Call Coverage
Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible, fellowship-trained Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join a growing program in Des Moines, Iowa. This opportunity is part of Iowa’s leading community-based Advanced Heart Failure Program, offering the ability to deliver advanced therapies while collaborating with a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team serving a large regional population.
Position Highlights:
Join a collaborative team of 4 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider
Average clinic volume of 13–17 patients per day
Call schedule 1:4
Recently approved Barostim procedure
LVAD management and implantable fluid monitoring
Interpretation of echocardiograms, nuclear studies, and cardiac imaging/testing
Two exam rooms per provider
Shared outreach clinic opportunities approximately 1 day per month
Tertiary service area of 1.5 million patients
Opportunity to participate in advanced heart failure program growth and innovation
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
Fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure required
Eligible for Iowa medical licensure
Compensation & Benefits:
3-year income guarantee:
- $600,000 Year 1
- $625,000 Year 2
- $650,000 Year 3
$150,000 recruitment incentive
