Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $7,450 – $7,980

Cardiology Job Details

• Location: Missoula, MT 59802 – Northern Rockies, Montana cardiology jobs
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (travel contract)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, with potential extension
• Start Date: January 19, 2026
• Schedule: Weekly blocks (Monday 8am – Monday 7am), mix of clinic and call shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 clinical hours (OT available after 40 hours)
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Number of Openings: 3 cardiology physician jobs
• Facility: 29-bed department, Level II trauma center
• Lodging: Hospital-provided condo one block from facility (subject to availability)

Cardiology Physician Qualifications

• Board Certification in Cardiology (required)
• Active ACLS certification
• Minimum 1 year post-training experience in cardiology
• Eligible for Montana state medical licensure
• Ability to provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology care
• Fellowship training in Cardiology (preferred)
• Strong skills in non-invasive cardiology, echocardiography, TEE, and nuclear cardiology (preferred)

Cardiology Physician Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive cardiology care in hospital and clinic settings
• Conduct outpatient clinics (12 patients/day) and interpret echocardiograms
• Participate in inpatient rounds, consults, and weekend call coverage (mostly phone-based)
• Read and interpret cardiac imaging studies (echo, TEE, nuclear)
• Collaborate with hospitalists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Respond to referral line calls and provide consultative support
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
