- Other details: The facility which is trauma level 2 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. There are an average of 9-12 patients per shift and 29 beds in the department. Locum coverage is needed until permanent providers are hired, with an ideal rotation of 1–3 locum physicians covering a total of three weeks per month on a weekly schedule from Monday 8am to Monday 7am. The assignment will primarily involve hospital or clinic work based on operational needs, with call schedules dependent on staffing levels; weekend coverage consists of 24-hour call that is mostly phone-based, with providers rarely required to come onsite. The preferred structure is a seven-day stretch combining clinic and call, typically including weekday clinic responsibilities, echo interpretation, limited night call with hospitalist triage support, and concluding with Saturday and Sunday general and echo call involving inpatient rounds, consults, and referral line coverage. Overtime applies after 40 clinical hours per week.
