Cardiac/Thoracic Surgery Career with Robust Structural Program in Metro Detroit

McLaren Macomb is recruiting two Cardiothoracic Surgeons in highly desirable Southeast Michigan.

  • McLaren Macomb’s Structural Heart programs case mix includes TAVR, Watchmen and Mitra-clip
  • Work with a highly collegial and comprehensive Cardiovascular team of 15 Cardiologists; General Cardiologists, Interventional and Structural Cardiologists, Electrophysiologist, and Advanced Practice Providers
  • Interventional volumes exceed 2800 cath lab cases annually

The ideal candidate will be interested in both open-heart and thoracic cases. Experienced providers preferred, new graduates will be considered. Qualified candidates will be BE/BC in Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Facility Highlights

McLaren Macomb is a 288-bed tertiary teaching hospital located in Mount Clemens, Michigan. McLaren Macomb provides a full range of services, including cardiovascular care at the Mat Gaberty Heart Center, award winning cancer services at the Ted B. Wahby Cancer Center, comprehensive orthopedic services, and a state-of-the-art elective Surgery Center. The hospital is verified as a Level II Trauma Center and operates one of the busiest Emergency Centers in the area. McLaren Macomb is a leader in osteopathic graduate medical education and serves as a base hospital site for medical students from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and University of Medicine and Health Science. Residency programs include emergency medicine, family medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, OB/GYN, orthopedic surgery, otolaryngology-facial plastic surgery and urologic surgery. Fellowship programs include cardiology, endocrinology, and vascular surgery.

Mount Clemens, MI, in Southeast Michigan, boasts of a genuine downtown district as the county seat of Macomb County.
