This locum tenens position involves inpatient care focusing on internal medicine and cardiology. The role requires expertise in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology, with a comprehensive schedule of 7 days on, followed by 7 days off, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including night calls. Ideal candidates can commit to covering at least two full weeks per month, starting on February 1, 2026.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient cardiology care, including rounding and consultations
  • Utilize expertise in echocardiography, TEE, and nuclear cardiology
  • Manage patient encounters, averaging 5-10 per shift
  • Participate in night call duties and overtime compensation after 12 hours daily

Qualifications

  • Board Certification in Cardiology required
  • ACLS and BLS certification required
  • Experience in a trauma level 2 facility preferred
  • Fellowship in cardiology with relevant certifications

Working Hours

  • 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
  • Daily hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Night call included
