An exciting long-term 6–9 month locum assignment for a General Cardiologist in beautiful Redding, CA. This role offers excellent work–life balance with weekday daytime hours, no call, and 100% outpatient responsibilities. Enjoy competitive pay and a supportive clinical environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide full-scope outpatient general cardiology care
• Evaluate and manage cardiac patients (avg. 20 patients/day)
• Perform consultations and follow-up visits
• Collaborate with clinic staff (RN, MA, clinic supervisor)
• Document using Cerner EMR
• Participate in orientation (paid)
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Cardiology (BE not accepted)
• Active CA medical license required
• Completed ACGME/AOA/RCPSC–accredited residency/fellowship
• Clean malpractice history strongly preferred
• ACLS certification (if needed by site)
Working Hours
• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• 2 weeks per month
• Shift Type: 8-hour days
• No weekends, no call, no procedures
Skills
• Strong outpatient cardiology expertise
• Excellent patient communication
• Efficient workflow management
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinic
