Position Summary

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join an expanding cardiology team in the Greater New Haven area.

This full-time, permanent role provides the opportunity to practice advanced electrophysiology in a supportive, patient-focused setting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in EP studies, ablations, device implantation, and arrhythmia management, working closely with a multidisciplinary cardiac care team.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients with complex arrhythmias and rhythm disorders

  • Perform electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implantations (pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices)

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient EP consultations

  • Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and APPs to deliver comprehensive cardiac care

  • Participate in EP lab procedures, post-operative care, and long-term device follow-up

  • Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation in the EMR

  • Contribute to department quality initiatives, education, and program development

Qualifications

  • Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Licensure: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology & Cardiac Electrophysiology; eligibility for Connecticut licensure

  • Training: Completion of an ACGME-accredited cardiac electrophysiology fellowship

  • Experience: Prior EP experience preferred; new graduates welcome
