Job description What We Offer

The Senior Physicist provides expert knowledge in radiation properties, treatment planning, and delivery to ensure the safe and effective use of radiation therapy. You'll collaborate with dosimetrists, physicians, and the radiation oncology team to maintain the highest standards of care, safety, and technology. This role is ideal for experienced physicists seeking to lead in quality assurance, mentor team members, and support continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Generate treatment plans and provide special physics consult
  • Mentor Physicist I staff
  • Advise on patient setup and delivery techniques
  • Perform QA procedures including IMRT/SBRT/SRS QA, in-vivo dose measurements, and chart checks
  • Ensure safe equipment operation and follow safety protocols
  • Identify process improvements and maintain professional development

What We're Looking For

  • Graduate degree in Medical Physics and completion of CAMPEP-accredited residency, required
  • 3+ years in radiation oncology physics (5 years preferred)
  • Certification in therapeutic medical physics from ABR or ABMP, required
  • Strong collaboration, QA, and mentorship skills
