Full-Time Electrophysiologist Cardiologist Location: Cooperstown, NY Board Certified or Board Eligible. Overview A progressive and academically oriented health system in Central New York is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Electrophysiology Cardiologist to join a dynamic cardiology team. The faculty practice consists of 15 cardiologists, 2 cardiac surgeons, and 18 advanced practice clinicians, serving patients across an eight-county region in upstate New York. This opportunity is based in a vibrant, lakefront community that offers year-round cultural and outdoor activities, including access to a nearby sports center featuring swimming pools, racquetball, squash courts, and more. Job Description & Responsibilities The Electrophysiology Cardiologist will provide both clinical and consultative care in inpatient and outpatient settings. The practice offers a comprehensive range of noninvasive and invasive cardiac services, including MRI, CT, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. Key Responsibilities: • Provide patient care in both hospital and office environments. • Participate in a busy noninvasive lab (performing over 10,000 echos and 2,000 nuclear scans annually). • Offer outpatient, inpatient, and regional patient services. • Utilize an integrated EPIC electronic health record system. • Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows. • Night call approximately twice monthly, with fellow and resident support. Compensation & Incentives • Salary Range: $629,039 – $906,120 (based on experience, training, and market standards). • Sign-on Bonus: Up to $200,000. • Incentive Plan: Group-employed model with no earnings cap and additional compensation potential based on individual performance and productivity. Qualifications • MD, DO, or MBBS degree. • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease (ABIM). • Eligible for New York State Medical Licensure. • BLS and DEA certification required.
