💓 Non-Invasive Cardiologist – Locum Opportunity! 💓

🩺 Position: Physician – Non-Invasive Cardiology (Inpatient Only)

Join a high-acuity hospital setting providing full-house inpatient cardiac consult coverage.

📅 Assignment Details

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• Need: 7 FTE Locums due to vacancies
• Setting: Inpatient only
• COVID & Flu Vaccination: Required
• EMR: Epic

📆 Schedule Overview

🕒 Weekday Day Shifts

• Mon–Fri | 7a–7p (12 hrs)
• Hospital consults, ER consults, follow-ups, coordination with hospitalists, transfers to CU as needed.
• Nurse Practitioner support during daytime only (1 per shift).

🌙 Weeknight Call

• Mon–Fri | 7p–7a
• Consult service only; no rounding required
• Expected consults: 8–10 per night

📞 Weekend Call (Preferred as 24-Hour Shifts)

• Sat–Sun | 7a–7a (24 hrs)
• Rounding required: 10–15 patients (~3 hours)
• 4 gratis hours included
• 8–10 consults expected

💼 Clinical Details

• Most Common Admissions: CHF, arrhythmias, temporary pacemaker needs
• NP Support:
  • Daytime only (embedded in hospitalist team)
  • No NP support at night
• Hand-off to Cath Lab: Procedures transferred to interventional cardiologists
• Census: 8–10 (varies with staffing)
• Admissions: ~6–8 per shift

• Nuclear
• Echo
• EKG
• Temporary Pacemaker

✅ Requirements

• Board Certified – Non-Invasive Cardiology
• Active NY License
• COVID + Flu vaccination required
• Ability to start after credentialing (est. 90 days)

✈️ Travel / Lodging

• Airfare, hotel, rental car approved
• Drive-in candidates preferred (hotel + mileage/rental car covered)
