Position Summary

The facility is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to join its growing and well-established cardiology team in Shelton, CT .

This full-time, permanent position offers an opportunity to provide a mix of inpatient and outpatient cardiac care within a collegial, multidisciplinary setting. The incoming physician will work alongside a highly skilled group of cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and advanced practice providers committed to delivering comprehensive, evidence-based cardiac care.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with cardiovascular conditions.

  • Interpret and oversee diagnostic testing, including ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, and cardiac imaging.

  • Participate in inpatient consultations, rounds, and outpatient clinic visits.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary cardiac care team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.

  • Educate patients and families about cardiovascular disease prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

  • Engage in departmental meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
Licensure & Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology; eligible for Connecticut medical licensure.
Experience: Prior clinical cardiology experience preferred; newly trained fellows are welcome to apply.
Skills: Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach to care.
