Cardiologist – Locum Tenens (1-Year Commitment Preferred)

Position: Cardiologist
Employment Type: Locum Tenens – 1099
Start Date: November 10, 2025 (or as soon as credentialed)
Contract Length: 1 year (minimum; 6-month terms not accepted)
Location: Charleston, WV
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
Beds: 1,078
Trauma Level: I
EMR: Cerner

Coverage & Schedule

Coverage Type: Scheduled hours only – No call
Shift Options:

  • Monday–Friday, 7a–3p or 8a–4p

  • 7 on / 7 off option available
    Hours: 8-hour shifts
    Credentialing Timeframe: ~60 days

Work Details

Practice Setting: Hospital (Inpatient Only – Consults Only)
Case Type: Floor work only, no ICU or follow-ups
Support Staff: NPs and PAs
Patient Volume: ~10 patients/day
Procedures/Skills: Cardiograms, Nuclear Stress Tests

Requirements

Board Certification: Required (Cardiology)
License: Active WV or IMLC eligible
DEA: Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Experience: Prior inpatient cardiology experience required
Background: Must be completely clean (no exceptions)
Pre-App: Required immediately upon offer for background and license verification
