Position Overview
A thriving regional healthcare system is seeking a Cardiovascular Section Chief to provide both clinical excellence and administrative leadership for an established and growing cardiology department. This position offers a blend of 0.8 FTE clinical practice and 0.2 FTE administrative responsibilities, giving the right candidate the opportunity to both shape the future of cardiovascular care in the community and remain actively engaged in patient care.
Key Responsibilities

Provide clinical, administrative, and quality oversight for cardiology providers within the department

Establish evidence-based standards and protocols for cardiovascular medicine

Lead departmental goal-setting in alignment with organizational strategy

Conduct annual performance reviews and support provider professional development

Partner with the Chief Medical Officer to continuously improve quality and patient experience

Participate in leadership development programs and medical staff committees

Oversee continuing medical education programs for physicians, APPs, and trainees

Maintain a strong commitment to cardiovascular education and mentorship
