Locum General Cardiologist – Weekend Coverage (Long-Term Assignment)

We are seeking a Board Certified General Cardiologist for a weekend long-term locum tenens assignment providing comprehensive cardiac care.

Open Dates:

• 1/16/2026 6am – 1/19/2026 6am

• 2/13/2026 6am – 2/16/2026 6am

• 3/13/2026 6am – 3/16/2026 6am

• 3/24/2026 6am – 4/27/2026 6am

• 5/29/2026 6am – 6/1/2026 6am

• 6/26/2026 6am – 6/29/2026 6am

Job Details:

• Coverage from Sunday through Saturday, including hospital and clinic call responsibilities.

• Supported by three inpatient Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who assist the cardiology provider.

• Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Cerner.

Required Procedures & Skills:

• Echocardiography

• Treadmill stress tests

• Chemical stress tests

• Ability to interpret the above diagnostic studies

• Reverse invoicing: Provider must use DocTime to clock in/out starting 7/1.

Travel & Expense Guidelines:

• Flight, car, fuel, mileage, hotel expenses capped at $150 (including taxes). Rental must be refueled before return.

• No lodging booked through 3rd party sites (Expedia, Kayak, etc.).

• Tax-exempt; taxes on lodging will not be reimbursed.

• Providers in Flint must stay at the designated hospitality house unless prior approval is obtained.

• Expenses will not exceed the limitations listed in the Travel & Expense policy.

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified in Cardiology – REQUIRED

• Active MI license in good standing – REQUIRED

• Must reside in or near Michigan – REQUIRED

• Clean background for quick credentialing – REQUIRED

• Provide availability based on dates listed above – REQUIRED

• DEA – Verbal confirmation required at credentialing – REQUIRED
