Schedule: Minimum 2 weeks/month coverage
π Position Overview
UCSF Campus at Zuckerberg San Francisco General is seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologists for a locum tenens role. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a Level 1 trauma center and academic teaching hospital with a diverse patient population.
Youβll primarily provide ECHO services (TEE, TTE), with an option to participate in inpatient rounding if you have an academic medical center background.

- Echo Team: Dedicated echo techs
- Cardiology Backup: Inpatient attending always available via phone
- Interventional Cardiology: On-call support
- EMR: Epic
- Patient Volume: ~25β30 echos/day
- Patient Population: Adults only
- Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
β Requirements
- Board Certification: BC/BE in Cardiovascular Disease
- License: Active CA Medical License
- DEA: CA DEA with Schedule II
- Certifications: BLS required; Advanced Echocardiography Level III preferred
- Experience:
- Recent high-volume echo reading
- Strong preference for teaching experience
- Experience with diverse populations
- Bilingual skills a plus
