Job description
We are seeking a Locum Tenens Physician - Cardiology in Massachusetts.
Locum Tenens Physician - Cardiology
Location: Massachusetts
Start Date: December 31, 2024
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Weekend/On-Call Requirements: None
Duration: Ongoing, 2 weeks/month commitment
Position Details:
Practice Setting: Primarily outpatient, with occasional inpatient consults.
Procedures Required:
Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
Electrical Cardioversions
Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
Patient Load:
10-13 clinic patients/day (mix of new and follow-up cases).
0-1 inpatient consults/day.
Support Staff: 1 APP available, with multiple cardiologists in the group.
EMR System: Meditech Expanse
Compensation & Reimbursement:
Rate: Negotiable (hourly).
Logistics Covered: Flight, hotel, and rental car reimbursed.
Requirements:
Licensing: Active MA license highly preferred; candidates needing a license will be considered.
Certification:
BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
Board Certified in Cardiology
Vaccination: COVID-19 vaccination required.
Availability: Must commit to 2 weeks/month and handle occasional inpatient consults and TEE.
Background Check: Clean record required for quick credentialing.
