Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is looking for an Invasive Cardiologist to cover the next 3-6 months
  • Practice Setting: Cardiac Cath interventions and emergency calls-- Cath lab (in-person) and inpatient coverage and night call (telephonic)
  • Reason for Coverage: coverage gaps
  • Dates of Coverage: Immediate for 3-6 mons with possible extension
  • Schedule: 1-2 weeks coverage per month (Mon-Sun days on site with night telephonic call and come in as needed)
  • Call Ratio: 1:4
  • Average Number of Inpatient Admissions Per Physician Per Day: approx 6-12 per day total/with APP support
  • Trauma Level/Designation: Level One
  • Total Number of Beds: 600 beds in hospital
  • Number of ICU Beds: 64 total---32 medical/32 cardiac
  • Number of Cardiologists Physician in Group: approx 30
  • Will Other Cardiologists be Present During our Locum's Coverage? Yes
  • Will the Locum Physician be Required to Supervise Other Health Care Providers?: No supervision but expectation to work well with and delegate work appropriately with APP's and Fellows.
  • Patient Age Demographic: Adult and Geriatric
  • Documentation System/EMR - Epic -
  • Provider Must be local - only mileage is reimbursed
  • We prefer CT licensed and local to CT or new England providers but will handle on case by case basis
REQUIRED PROCEDURES:
  • Non-Invasive Procedures: Echocardiography,Electrical Cardioversions,Electrocardiograms (EKGs),Treadmill Stress Tests,Chemical Stress Tests
  • Invasive Procedures: Angioplasty and Stenting,Embolic Protection,Balloon Angioplasty,Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI),Temp pacemakers/balloon pump
Additional Procedure:
  • Impella Experience Preferred-not required.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Board Certified
  • ACLS
  • CT License - Highly preferred
  • Local Providers- Highly preferred
