Locum Opportunity: Cardiac Anesthesiologist
Location: Hospital-based Cardiac Surgery Program

Practice Details:
- Setting: Hospital, occasionally overseeing CRNAs at an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
- EMR: Transitioning from Cerner to EPIC, with some paper documentation
- Surgical Cases Per Day: Typically 1 cardiac surgery/day, 5-7 general cases/day when no cardiac cases are scheduled
Number of Anesthesiologists in Practice: 6
Patient Age Demographic:
- Adolescents, Children, Adults, Geriatrics
- Note: Very sick children are referred to specialized hospitals
Number of Operating Rooms: 8 active operating rooms
Staffing and Supervision:
- Predominantly solo cases
- Occasional supervision/direction of partners
- CRNA students may be present in the OR
- Expectation to cover general anesthesia if no cardiac surgeries are scheduled
Program Stability and Expectations:
- The cardiac surgery program has faced challenges with consistency in the past but aims for stabilization with a newly signed 5-year contract with a cardiac surgeon
- Projected Volume: Approximately 90 cardiac surgeries this year
