General Cardiology Pennsylvania
JOB INFORMATION
*Typical Day: Provider would start at 8a to cover the hospital service. There will be an NP and PA also helping with coverage. Would need to do consults, periop TEEs, cardioversions, follow up consults, and answer questions other providers would have. Documentation of the consults and TEE/cardioversion would need to be done timely. Would need to cover at least one weekend on either side of the week coverage. Would take call at least 5 days during the 7-day stretch.
*Trauma Level: II
*Average admissions while on call: Only admit complete heart blocks, so on average 1 admission during call
*APP/Mid-Level Coverage Avail: Yes
*Procedures: TEE and Cardioversions
*Will provider work Solo? No
*Other specialties on-site: Have a wide range of specialties available that cover the hospital. There would be other cardiologist available to speak with it there were questions or concerns.
