Job description
Join a comprehensive cardiology program with strong subspecialty support and a collaborative care model. This is a great opportunity for a cardiologist seeking flexible scheduling, consistent volume, and access to full cardiac services including interventional and EP backup.
Start Date: May 25, 2026 Contract Length: Minimum 6 months
Position Highlights:

Flexible coverage: 1–2 weeks per month

Monday–Sunday scheduling with optional weekend support

Access to full cardiology service line (Interventional & EP on-site)

Balanced mix of inpatient consults and diagnostic interpretation
-
Occasional call with shared support
-
Daily hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch; 8 working hours)
-
Coverage: 1–2 weeks per month
-
Occasional weeknight and weekend call
-
Setting: Hospital (265 beds)
-
Patient population: Adults (18+)
-
Patient volume: 25–35 patients per day
Responsibilities Include:
-
Inpatient cardiology consults
-
Interpretation of cardiac diagnostics
-
Managing general non-invasive cardiology cases
Procedures & Diagnostics:
-
Stress testing (including nuclear)
-
Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
-
Cardioversions
-
Reading and interpretation of:
-
Echocardiograms
-
Holter monitors
-
EKGs
-
CTA (preferred)
-
-
Dedicated Non-Invasive team: 1 MD + 1 APP
-
Additional on-site support:
-
Interventional Cardiology (MD + APP)
-
Electrophysiology (MD + APP)

Collaborative, team-based environment
Technology:

EMR: Epic

Board Certified Cardiology preferred

Active Pennsylvania license required

DEA required

ACLS & BLS required

CTA reading preferred
