Are you seeking a high-acuity cardiology practice within a thriving, comprehensive Heart & Vascular Center? This is an exceptional opportunity to join the region’s premier referral center for advanced cardiac medicine, offering unparalleled procedural volume, robust subspecialty support, and a collaborative team environment.

Position Highlights

  • Join a highly respected Heart & Vascular Program offering Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Electrophysiology, and a full Structural Heart service line

  • This program performs more cardiology procedures than all other hospitals in Southwest Georgia combined

  • Strong APP support in clinic: 8 total (6 based in the primary hub, 2 in nearby community outreach site)

  • TEE experience strongly preferred

  • Call: 1:4 weekend coverage

  • Participate in regional outreach initiatives

Heart & Vascular Team Includes

  • 2 Vascular Surgeons

  • 1 Electrophysiologist

  • 2 Cardiothoracic Surgeons (actively recruiting for an additional Thoracic Surgeon)

  • 3 Interventional Cardiologists

  • 5 Non-Invasive Cardiologists (when fully staffed)

Comprehensive Cardiac Capabilities

  • Full suite of imaging & diagnostic modalities, including:

    • Transthoracic Echo

    • Transesophageal Echo

    • Nuclear Imaging

    • Cardiac CT

    • Cardiac MRI

  • Advanced structural procedures including Watchman, complex TAVR, MitraClip

  • Level 1 Emergency Cardiac Care Center & Level 2 Trauma Center

Flexible Options

  • Full-time, part-time, and per diem schedules may be considered

  • J-1 and H-1B visa sponsorship available

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified (ABMS or AOA)

Essential Responsibilities

You will play an active role in delivering high-level cardiac care while demonstrating clinical excellence, compassionate patient communication, and effective interdisciplinary collaboration. Key expectations include:

  • Comprehensive assessment and data collection

  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans

  • Coordinating multidisciplinary care to ensure continuity

  • Monitoring patient responses and adjusting treatment accordingly

  • Maintaining accurate, timely documentation

  • Respecting patient confidentiality and promoting patient-centered care

  • Managing complex or emotional patient situations with professionalism

  • Attending mandatory training, staying current on best practices, and meeting all competency requirements

  • Upholding the organization’s mission, values, and service standards

Qualifications

  • MD or DO

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified (Cardiology specialty per ABMS or AOA)

  • Eligible for Georgia medical license

  • TEE experience strongly preferred

  • Strong communication skills and dedication to high-quality cardiovascular care
