Job description
A leading New York healthcare system is seeking a Board-Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist for an outpatient-only locum assignment in Cortlandt Manor, NY. The role involves weekday clinic coverage with a low daily patient volume, no holidays, and no call requirements. Credentialing requires multiple candidates as backup, and full vaccination (COVID + Flu) is mandatory.
Approved Travel: Prefer local candidates that need rental car or mileage & hotel. Airfare, lodging and rental car
Job Responsibilities
• Manage common cardiology conditions including heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, dyspnea, cardiac risk assessments, and pre-op clearances.
• See fewer than 10 patients per day in a structured clinic environment.
• Communicate with referring physicians and coordinate patient care plans.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation.
• Collaborate with a Nurse Practitioner for daily clinical support.
Qualifications
• Active New York State Medical License – Required
• Valid DEA with state registration – Required
• ACLS certification – Required
• Up-to-date COVID and Flu vaccinations – Mandatory
• Experience in outpatient non-invasive cardiology
• Ability to complete credentialing (approx. 90 days)
Working Hours
• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 4×10 or 5×8 schedules depending on assignment
• No holidays
• No on-call duties
• 30-minute meal break
Skills
• Ability to manage low-volume but complex cardiac cases
• Excellent diagnostic and patient management skills
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Strong communication with referring providers and clinical staff
