Locums – Cardiology (IMLC Welcome) - Charleston, West Virginia

Start Date: As soon as credentialed Contract Length: 1 year (client prefers candidates available for up to 1 year due to training requirements)

Schedule:

• 8-hour days starting at 7:00a or 8:00a

• Monday–Friday or 7-on/7-off schedule

• No call coverage

• Coverage needed: approximately 2 weeks per month

• Support staff: NPs or PAs

Position Overview: This locums cardiology role focuses on inpatient consults in a Level 1 trauma center. Providers will round on the floor, perform consults, and manage a manageable patient load without follow-up responsibilities or ICU coverage. The ideal candidate is board-certified and can commit to at least a one-year contract to allow for training and integration into the team.

Daily Breakdown:

• Approximately 10 patients per day

• Floor work only, consults only, no follow-up

• Procedures/Skills required: cardiograms, nuclear stress tests

Facility Details:

• Hospital: 1078-bed Level 1 trauma center

• Practice Setting: Hospital-based

• EMR: Cerner

Requirements:

• Board Certification – Required

• Active West Virginia license – Required

• DEA – Required

• Willing to license via IMLC

• Credentialing timeframe: 60 days
