Job description

Job description Seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist to provide comprehensive care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The role includes clinic visits, inpatient rounding, cardiac imaging interpretation, and procedures such as echocardiography, TEEs, and cardioversions. This position offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative cardiology team in a Level 1 Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients across multiple locations in the Twin Cities metro area and outreach sites.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in outpatient clinics and inpatient hospital settings
• Participate in non-invasive cardiology call rotation (Q7; weeknights 5:00 pm–8:00 am, weekends 24 hours)
• Perform and interpret echocardiograms, stress tests, nuclear studies, TEEs, and cardioversions
• Conduct cardiology consultations and collaborate with healthcare teams for treatment planning
• Supervise APPs in rounding, stress testing, and cardiac rehab as needed
• Contribute to advanced cardiac programs including TAVR, TEER, and LAAC
• Support inpatient cardiology services with 5–10 consults daily (hospitalists handle admissions)
• Provide outreach cardiology services at satellite locations
• Maintain documentation in EPIC EHR

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology (within 5 years of eligibility) – Required
• Minnesota medical license or ability to obtain – Required
• DEA certification – Required
• ACLS certification – Required prior to start
• CT training – Highly Preferred
• Willingness to travel between Robbinsdale, Maple Grove, and outreach sites – Required

Working Hours

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm
• Call rotation: Q7 weeknights (5:00 pm

Skills

• Expertise in echocardiography, stress testing, TEEs, cardioversions, and nuclear cardiology
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team
• Experience supervising APPs and allied health staff
• Familiarity with EPIC EHR
• Excellent patient communication and counseling skills
