Role: Locum Tenens Cardiologist

Location: Alpena, Michigan

Setting: Combination of outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, call coverage, and procedures

Workdays: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts
-
Call: 1:2 call expectation (includes nights/weekends)

Start Date: ASAP – will prioritize applications based on start date

Credentialing Timeframe: ~30 days
-
See new and established patients
-
Read imaging/tests
-
Perform procedures based on skills, including:
-
Diagnostic caths (optional)
-
TEE
-
Cardioversion
-
Loop implant/explant
No supervision responsibilities
1 APP on staff (out on maternity leave starting Oct 2025)
Technology-
EMR: EPIC
-
Dictation: Dragon
-
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Cardiology
-
ACLS/BLS certifications
-
Case logs: 50 cardiology-related cases in the past 12 months, 25 TEEs within the last 12 months
-
Proctoring: May be required depending on procedures
-
Licensing: Will consider IMLC candidates
