We are seeking a Board-Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join their team in Richmond, VA. This role provides essential support during the recruitment of a permanent provider, covering a mix of inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings. This is a collaborative environment where you will work alongside another cardiologist and supervise a team of Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs).
-Schedule: Days; Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts.
-Location: Richmond, VA.
-Team: 1 Physician in group and 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs).
-Charting: EPIC.
-
Privileges: Emergency/Temporary privileges available for candidates with a clean background.
-
Travel: Local Providers only; only mileage is reimbursed.
Job Responsibilities
-Manage a daily volume of 10 clinic patients and 12–15 inpatient admissions per physician.
-Supervise 4 APCs to ensure high-quality patient-centered care.
-Perform and interpret Electrocardiograms (EKGs).
-Participate in a 1:6 call rotation, including night and weekend call.
Qualifications
-Fellowship: AHF Fellowship with LVAD experience [REQUIRED].
-Certification: Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Certified (Advanced Heart Failure focus; no invasive procedures performed) [REQUIRED].
-Licensure: Active Virginia Medical License [REQUIRED].
-Certifications: Current ACLS and active DEA [REQUIRED].
-Credentialing: Self-Query NPDB report pulled within 30 days of presentation [REQUIRED].
Working Hours
-On-Call: Rotating night and weekend call (1:6 ratio).
-Availability: ASAP start; ongoing until a permanent physician is onboarded
Skills
-Strong clinical leadership for supervising mid-level providers.
-Ability to manage high-volume inpatient admissions and outpatient consultations effectively.
