Interventional Cardiologist – Call Coverage Only Nampa, ID
Medical Center–Nampa is seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiologist to provide inpatient-only call coverage. This role supports a busy cardiovascular service line with procedure-heavy days, trauma-level acuity, and strong APP support. Ideal candidates are board-certified, fully credential-ready, and able to cover most or all listed dates.

Dates / Schedule

• Call-Only Coverage (24-hour call, no clinic)

  • 1/22 (7a) – 1/28 (7a)

  • 2/18 (7a) – 2/24 (7a)

  • 3/19 (7a) – 3/25 (7a)

  • 4/16 (7a) – 4/21 (7a)

Job Details & Responsibilities

• Inpatient-only service

• Average volume: ~3 consults/day and ~2 procedures/day

• Hospital profile: Trauma Level II, 18 ICU beds, 18 tele beds, 10 CMU beds

• APP support:

  • Weekdays: 1–2 APPs/day

  • Weekends: 1 APP for 5 hours/day

• Required interventional cardiology procedures

• Preferred/Important competencies:

  • TEE proficiency highly preferred

  • Balloon pumps, coronary stents, IVUS, IFR

• STEMI volume: historically ~3 activations/week (2020 average)

• Travel reimbursement parameters:

  • Flights up to $750 round trip

  • Lodging up to $179/night (preferred: Candlewood Suites Boise – Towne Square)

  • Rental car up to $50/day (required if not using mileage reimbursement)

  • Mileage reimbursed at IRS rate (not applicable with rental car)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified Interventional Cardiology and BC Internal Medicine or Cardiovascular Disease – Required

• Active ID license or active IMLC (LOQ at name clear) – Required

• Clean malpractice and background – Required

• COVID vaccination – Required

• Ability to cover most/all open dates – Required

• Local candidates (no flights) – Highly preferred
  

• Full credentialing documentation required (diplomas, training certs, licenses, DEA, BLS, COIs, immunizations, references, case logs, etc.)
