Job Opportunity: Non-Invasive Cardiologist
Join our team as a Non-Invasive Cardiologist in Coos Bay, Oregon! Our facility is a 127-bed Level III Trauma hospital and serves as the largest healthcare provider on the Southern Coast of Oregon, catering to a catchment area of over 320,000 residents. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care and are looking for a cardiologist to contribute to our growing cardiology services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinic rotations from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with shared call responsibilities including weekends.
- Provide full-spectrum non-invasive cardiology services to both inpatient and outpatient populations.
- Evaluate and manage cardiac disease processes.
- Interpret EKGs, echocardiograms, and perform cardiac nuclear imaging.
- Provide outreach services to nearby critical access hospitals.
- Collaborate with other medical specialties as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Educate patients and families about medications, health, and illness prevention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in physician meetings and policy formation.
- Remain current with continuing medical education (CME) activities.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Non-Invasive Cardiology.
- Fellowship-trained in Cardiology.
- Strong preference for candidates who are Nuclear and Echo certified.
- Must have a clean malpractice history and background.
- Demonstrated ties to Oregon through family or prior residency.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Oregon medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA certification must be obtained prior to starting the position.
- NPDB self-query report must be submitted.
