Join Our Team as a Non-Invasive Cardiologist in Coos Bay, OR
Located in the scenic coastal town of Coos Bay, Oregon, our facility is a 127-bed Level III Trauma center committed to serving a vibrant community of over 320,000 residents. As the largest hospital on the Southern Coast, we are looking for an additional Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our growing and collaborative Cardiology service line. Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in clinic rotations from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with shared weekend call for echocardiography.
- Provide non-invasive cardiology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Conduct evaluations and management services, including interpretation of EKGs, echocardiograms, cardiac nuclear imaging, and more.
- Collaborate with primary care physicians and community referral bases for patient care.
- Perform patient assessments, obtain relevant medical history, and document findings clearly.
- Administer prescribed medications in compliance with state law and practice guidelines.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and treatment options.
- Document all patient care within the electronic medical record in compliance with organizational policies.
- Participate in physician meetings and engage in professional development through continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology (Non-Invasive).
- Fellowship-trained in Cardiology.
- Ability to obtain an Oregon state license.
- Strong preference for candidates who are Nuclear and Echo certified.
- Clean malpractice history and a copy of the NPDB self-query report required.
- Prior ties to Oregon, such as family or residency in the area, are highly desirable.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Oregon Medical License (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA registration (must be obtained prior to start).
- Must meet all CME requirements and maintain board certification.
