Join Our Team as a Non-Invasive Cardiologist in Coos Bay, OR!
We are a 127-bed Level III Trauma facility committed to providing high-quality healthcare to the Southern Coast of Oregon. As part of our growing Cardiology service line, we invite an additional Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our collaborative team. Our hospital serves a catchment area of over 320,000 people, and we're excited about our commitment to the community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Clinic rotation Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM with shared call responsibilities that include reading on weekends.
- Provide comprehensive cardiology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Conduct evaluations and management services, including interpretation of EKGs, Echocardiography, and Cardiac Nuclear Imaging.
- Collaborate with other medical specialties in establishing standards of care.
- Perform patient examinations and obtain relevant medical histories.
- Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, and health prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documents.
- Participate in physician meetings and assist in policy formation for the cardiology clinic.
- Stay current with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements and licensing.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Non-Invasive Cardiology.
- Fellowship trained in Cardiology.
- Experience with Nuclear and Echo preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Knowledge of patient assessment and risk calculation.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active OR License or willingness to obtain.
- Current DEA certification (must be obtained before starting).
- Clean malpractice history and background check.
- Recent NPDB self-query report (within 30 days).
