BE/BC Invasive Cardiologist needed to meet demand in market. This is an employed position, and the physician will need to perform the following procedures. Diagnostic caths, (stints for failures and Percutaneous Coronary Intervention), pacemakers, echoes, nuclear medicine and automated implantable cardio defibrillators. Opportunity to do coronary, peripheral and carotid interventions.
They will admit to one hospital and will have an average inpatient census of 4-6 per day and up to 20 patients per day in the clinic. They have state-of-the-art equipment echo, nuclear camera and stress testing, vascular imaging is located at the hospital, located across the street from the clinic.
An attractive compensation package offers a first year income guarantee (based on MGMA median numbers), with a great benefit package. Year two and beyond income is based on worked RVU's.
Typical day would be rounding in the morning, then cath lab and clinic thereafter.
The community is a great place to raise a family; it has a high tech corporation located here, so it affords a great economic base to the community.
One hour-and-ten-minutes travel time each to: Charlotte Douglas International Airport; the eclectic attractions of Asheville; the arts and history of Winston-Salem; and only 20 minutes to the North Carolina High Country and the mountain seasonal resort community of Blowing Rock.
