Coverage: Inpatient | Call Only
EMR: Epic
Schedule:
- 24-hour beeper call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Coverage Dates:
- November 25 – December 1
- December 8 – December 11
- December 18 – January 8
- April 23 – April 30
- Call is for both inpatient and outpatient needs.
- Call response time: 20 minutes
- No admissions required.
- No APP supervision or teaching responsibilities.
Practice Details:
- Approximately 75% Interventional / 25% Non-Invasive Cardiology
- Nuclear Medicine (NUC) reading/activity is required
- Patient volume: approximately 10–15 patients per shift
- Level III Trauma Center
- Stroke-certified hospital
- No hospital/surgery center privileges required per assignment details.
Requirements:
- Active California medical license required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
- BC/BE accepted if within 3–5 years of residency
- Active FLUORO certification required
- ACLS and BLS required
- DEA required
- Updated CV with all hospital affiliations
- Current hospital clinical activity in the specialty is required
- Any clinical gaps greater than 3 months must be explained
Credentialing:
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60–90 days
- Temporary privileges are not available.
- Provider must already hold an active California license.
Travel & Lodging:
- Travel and malpractice insurance provided.
- If long-term housing is required, lodging may be approved with some extra house rent allowance.
